理工大學今早爆發激烈衝突，警方確認曾使用裝甲車上的「聲波炮」的長距離揚聲裝置（Long Range Acoustic Device，簡稱LRAD），反送中運動以來首次。警方指出，在現場使用裝置，「向暴徒發出警告」，強調裝置是一種廣播系統，並非武器，否認裝置可產生超低音頻，導致聽者暈眩、作嘔或喪失方向感。
