俗稱「阻差辦公」的罪名，在本港可引用《簡易治罪條例》228章23條「阻礙公職人員執行公務」提控，最高罰款$1,000及監禁6個月；《警隊條例》63條「抗拒執行職責的警務人員」，最高罰款$5,000及監禁6個月；又或今次警方引用的《侵害人身條例》36（b）條，最高可監禁兩年。
