運輸署不時實地調查居民巴士服務，監察其服務的情况。如發現營辦商不按服務詳情表運作，一般會即時要求營辦商停止違規的情况，並會跟進調查，如發現違規持續，會向營辦商發警告信或研訊。

Apart from taking urban taxis which are permitted to enter Ma Wan during certain time periods, Ma Wan residents mainly rely on the six residents’ bus routes and two ferry routes operated by the Park Island Transport Company Limited (PITCL), a wholly owned subsidiary of the developer of Park Island, for external transport.
