The Coronation stone

The Coronation stone

這塊石頭的英文有「The Coronation stone」、「Stone of Destiny」以及「Stone of scone」。

“A new sovereign must decide if he is to be crowned on the coronation stone,” he said.
“Which of the two governments will he consult? Let us hope it is decided with calm reason. We must show an example. The English crowns are loaded with the spoils of empire, the Koh-i-Noor and Cullinan diamonds are the least of them.”
