美軍戰車火力驚人，曾有所發射的耗乏鈾砲彈從前到後貫穿整輛T-72，砲塔受到衝擊還因而掀開﹔甚至伊軍戰車在一點五公尺厚的沙牆之後掩蔽，M1A1的砲彈還是能夠貫穿沙牆並摧毀伊軍戰車﹔至於少數幾輛受損的M1A1則是因為被友軍誤擊和地雷的關係，但經過修復仍能回到戰場。
