在萨达姆表兄（化学阿里）命令下，第一批被处决的一百人押到大坑旁，然后由死于起义的政府军警人员的遗属每人一架机关枪对着他们扫射以复仇，然后把他们的尸体推入大坑用推土机堆平。而这些被处死者的房屋被夷平，家人包括妇女儿童也全部被关押，至今不知下落。
