 2003年，美軍剛剛入侵伊拉克的時候，幾乎所有的“悍馬”吉普都沒有配備防護裝甲，可隨著路邊炸彈越來越多，美軍悍馬遭受了巨大損失，只好臨時加挂一些裝甲防護設備。
