最後證實是一場虛驚，那飛行物體的確是一架飛機。但是人心仍然惶惶，我在營裏打稿撰寫最新戰況時，又被空襲警號中斷了，所有人又再狼狽逃入戰壕。逗留了十分鐘， All clear，大家又回到崗位。

美空袭开始时，伊拉克正是星期四凌晨一点，巴格达的大街空无一人。在美国警告将打击伊拉克不久，空袭警报声划破了巴格达安静的夜空，伊拉克电视台停止了正常节目，转而播放爱国歌曲及伊拉克军人手拿机关枪手榴弹演练的镜头。
