醫管局昨深夜證實，瑪麗醫院在過去三星期發現兩宗感染毛黴菌（又稱毛霉菌）個案，發言人又指翻查過去記錄，發現今年以來，有另外三宗病人感染毛黴菌個案，醫院初步懷疑可能與牀單或病人衣物有關，故會先為高險病房及免疫力較低病人安排更換牀單，有醫生估計是醫院的牀單或病人衣物清潔程序出了問題。
