據羊城晚報報道，今天下午，東莞出現8級左右雷雨大風及短時強降水，並出現冰雹。該市衛生局初步統計，目前已造成8人死136人傷，其中沙田鎮2死67輕傷，厚街鎮5死36傷，大嶺山鎮1死2重傷31輕傷。

Severe thunderstorms and heavy hail struck Dongguan on Wednesday – and are believed to have killed nine people and seriously injured two others. There were also 134 cases reported of people with less serious injuries, state media reported, citing the Dongguan Municipal Health Bureau.
