最新「香港鯨豚研究計劃」調查發現，海豚在大嶼山活動次數，有明顯下降趨勢，中華白海豚由2011年88隻，跌至2016年47隻，又發現有一些經常出沒於香港水域的海豚，近年不見所蹤。
