Hong Kong is the most expensive area in the Asia Pacific region for business travelers, with a survey of 25 locations pointing to hotel rates as the main culprit.
Lee Quane, regional director for ECA International, which conducted the survey, said Hong Kong room rates are among the highest in the region at around US$300 (HK$2,340) a night – 20 percent higher than comparable accommodation in Seoul, Singapore and Tokyo.
