東區海底隧道專營權午夜屆滿，踏入凌晨零時，政府正式接收隧道，收費維持不變，但以往發售的隧道費代用券將全數失效。午夜隧道交接過程為時僅數十秒，期間人手收費通道暫停運作，以便收費員進行交接；自動收費通道則不受影響。
