現代人幾乎離不開網絡，網絡潮語也幾乎一周有一個新的，內地最新的流行語就是「藍瘦香菇」。《人民日報》發表文章指，網絡因「藍瘦香菇」瘋狂令人摸不着頭腦，更指若過度使用網絡流行語，會使人患上「語言貧乏症」。

The slang word “buzzword” means a word or phrase that is suddenly fashionable for a period of time. The buzzwords that have become fashionable, such as independence and self-determination, are different words but Hong Kong people are sparring (arguing, quarrelling) over their meanings.
