香港商業電台（商台）和新城電台（新城）的模擬聲音廣播牌照將於今年8月25日到期，通訊事務管理局（通訊局）早在去年5月就向行政會議遞交了給兩台續牌的建議，但行政會議直到今年3月22日才批准兩台續牌12年至2028年，同時將於2022年作中期檢討。
