通訊事務管理局新任主席王桂壎昨日首次會見傳媒時，承認廣播業界面對接二連三的挑戰，當中來自網絡電視（OTT）的競爭尤其大，隨着永升入主有線寬頻（01097）後，目前只剩下香港電視（01137）仍在申請免費電視牌照，當局正待對方補交資料，而香港最終有多少個免費電視台，應由業界的供求決定。
