裁判官聞言相當勞氣，直指其解釋無稽，再問被告是否認罪而不需要律師時，被告強調「我無故意遺棄佢」，又稱當時已吩咐一名小童叫其媽媽「睇住」被告的涉事嬰孩，該小童也答應，對於最終被指棄嬰，被告稱「我點知咁多嘢啫」。

The source said the mother told the son to pick up his younger brother after school, but realised she was in trouble after the media widely reported on the abandoned baby, whom she realised was her younger son.
