南海仲裁案結果不僅牽動大陸，台灣也捲入其中，因為裁決宣稱，一直由台灣控制的南沙群島最大天然島嶼「太平島」竟然僅是岩礁而非島嶼，無權申索200海里「專屬經濟區」，只能享有「12海里領海」之權。如此仲裁結果，令台灣上下無不錯愕，感到有冤無路訴。

The judges said China’s claim to most of the South China Sea has no legal basis, confirming the Philippines’ right to a substantial exclusive economic zone covering an eastern swath of the sea.
