「中央政治局常委會」，全名「中央政治局常務委員會」是最高領導層圈子。上屆設有七名常委。能夠「入常」，等於躋身權力核心。習近平正是在「十七大」入常，「十八大」當上中央委員會總書記、中央軍事委員會主席，翌年成為國家主席。
