韓國總統文在寅周四（2月20日）致電中國國家主席習近平對中國肺炎疫情表示慰問的同一天，韓國境內新增了53例新型冠狀病毒感染確診病例。

讓外界最為關注的是，韓國約100例確診病例中，有將近一半與大邱新天地教會(The Shincheonji)有關。
