香港大學教師及職員會由上月18日至本月2日，以不記名問卷方式，要求校內教職員就十個方面評價馬斐森的表現，共收回600多名教職員回應。結果顯示受訪者幾乎一面倒不滿意經馬的表現，當中近90%不滿他「未能在本港學術界中成為領導人物」；不同意馬整體工作表現出色，以及認為他未有堅守學術倫理及保護告密者的受訪者均超過88%。

A survey by the Academic Staff Association of the University of Hong Kong found that staff hold generally unfavourable opinions of the outgoing President Peter Mathieson. […]

The Association conducted a survey between December 18 and this Tuesday. The form was sent to 2,060 staff and around 609 responded. More than three-quarters of respondents “strongly disagreed” when asked whether Mathieson did well in ten areas during his tenure.
