According to the judgment on the Chong Fung-yuen case handed down by the Court of Final Appeal in 2001, children born in Hong Kong to mainland women whose spouses are not Hong Kong permanent residents (these women being commonly known as “doubly non-permanent resident pregnant (DNRP) women<\/strong>“, and these children known as “doubly non-permanent resident (DNR) children”) are entitled to the right of abode in Hong Kong.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
