本港近日天氣寒冷，雖然未到冬季流感高峯期，但多間公立醫院已出現逼爆情況。醫管局數字顯示，上周六共有5,390人次到各急症室求診，當中最多人次為聯合醫院，有447人；伊利沙伯醫院及威爾斯親王醫院則分別有434人及397人。而整體求診人士當中，有931人需轉送內科病房，內科住院病床佔用率達101%。

Health officials said on Friday that the city’s accident and emergency departments were overflowing with patients, as the city sees its lowest temperatures of the winter so far.

The average occupancy rates for inpatient beds at 16 public hospitals was 103 percent in the early hours of the morning.
